Central Collie will be a hive of activity on the Labour Day weekend in 2020 with plans in place to host the inaugural Collie Labour Day Festival.
The festival will be a chance to celebrate the wealth of year-round recreational activities afforded to people lucky enough to live in region.
Those with a competitive streak will be excited by the cycling and swimming races while keen anglers will be able to throw a line in in hopes of reeling in the biggest catch.
Feel the rumble as hundreds of Harley Davidsons are joined by the Collie Veteran Car Club for a parade through town followed by a Show and Shine in Johnston Street, near Soldier’s Park, for the Collie Labour Day Festival, Saturday, 1pm. Wave to the hogs as they head out on Sunday morning for their Sunday Thunder Run, returning to town to park up for the Sunday Festival Markets.
There’ll be plenty on offer for the whole family and those wanting to enjoy a more relaxed weekend as well with markets, live music and woodchops all set to take place in Central Park.
