Call for community to help capture this year’s Anzac Day

This year’s Anzac Day will be live-streamed and made into a video – with your help.

The South West Development Commission is asking the community is asked to join creative professionals in capturing the activities that will take place on April 25 to pay tribute to former and current service men and women, starting with the driveway dawn service. As people light a candle and stand in quiet contemplation at the end of their driveways or balconies at 6am, a live steaming project called Follow the Sun will take place.

Drone pilots, photographers, videographers and musicians across Australia and New Zealand will be coordinated to livestream footage from neighbourhoods in the two countries.

The community is also encouraged to take footage of the driveway dawn service as well as video and photos of activities taking place throughout April 25 for further livestream and for use in an Anzac Day in Isolation video.
