The big heart of the Collie community is on display in the latest exhibition, opening this Friday night.
From politicians to publicans, the exhibition shows a diverse range of characters and local identities captured by Perth-based artist, Alastair Taylor.
As one of the runner-up winners of the Collie Art Prize 2018, Perth-based artist Alastair Taylor was asked to hold a solo exhibition of his works at the Collie Art Gallery.
He considered drawing portraits of as many local people as he could to make his show relevant to Collie.
Alastair managed to visit Collie a few times to meet with different people and take photos of them. The result was the 0.76% Portraits of a Community exhibition which Alastair put together talking to different people in town.
Join us for the opening on 6 December 2019, 6-8pm and meet the artist.
The exhibits will be on display Thursdays through Mondays, 10am to 4pm until 19 January 2020.
